St. George’s is a private nursing home providing professional and sympathetic care in a personal, friendly and comfortable environment. It has accommodation for 40 residents in single occupancy rooms, most with en-suite facilities.
Each room is provided with a nurse call system, direct dial telephone and remote control television. There are comfortable sitting rooms and a courtyard garden with many attractive features for the use of residents and visitors. Our sun lounge and sitting room give the opportunity to enjoy the courtyard garden views during inclement weather and in the winter.
St. George’s is registered to take adults for general nursing care including convalescence, terminally ill, acute medical, post operative, respite and physically disabled.
Staff at St. George’s are selected for their understanding and ability to communicate a genuine interest in the welfare of residents and we have a higher ratio of trained nurses than most local Nursing Homes.
Short Stay and Long Term Residential Care for the Elderly.
Our dedicated purpose is to ensure that the frail and elderly can live in comfort, secure in the knowledge that the extra care that they need is always available in a quiet and unobtrusive way, but at the same time protective and reassuring. Friends and relatives are free to visit as they choose.
St. George’s is situated in Milford-on-Sea on the edge of the New Forest in a most attractive environment, a short walk to the sea from where there are splendid views of the Isle of Wight and The Needles. Bournemouth is half an hour away, Southampton within 20 miles and the main line railway station 4 miles away at New Milton.
There are fast regular train services from London (Waterloo) taking under 2 hours and the M3 motorway enables the drive from London to be made in similar time.
The high quality of nursing care enables St. George’s to offer post operative and general convalescence facilities. Residents can enjoy recuperation in a pleasant, comfortable and caring environment.
Families who care for relatives at home require a holiday at times and need to feel confident that they will be looked after with kindness and consideration while they are away. Rooms can be booked in advance and the care required discussed to ensure a comfortable and happy stay.
Catering is of the highest standard for quality, preparation, choice and presentation. A varied first class menu is offered by our award-winning chefs. Each day nursing staff visit and discuss menu options and any special dietary requirements with residents. Visitors are welcome to take meals at a small charge.
